Handcrafted one at a time. This fabulous bag is woven by hand out of Ata grass on the Indonesian Island of Bali by Artists of the Tenganan region. This art form is handed down through the generations and is unique to Bali. The bags are not made in a factory, the artists work from home in their villages. Bags can take up to 4 weeks to complete. The warm golden honey color of the Ata grass develops naturally from slow smoking over a honey and coconut husk fire. Subtle differences in adornments and ribbons are what makes each bag extraordinary. Carry as an open tote, or close up the drawstring top. Measures 10"H x 13"W x 3-1/2"D, featuring double leather handles with a drop of 10-1/2", tan embossed croc leather band with large tortoise buckle and gold tone acorn.
