Globe Pequot Press has just re-released Joe Hutto's classic tale of "A Season with the Wild
Turkey" in paperback. The following is what my partner, Colonel Tom Kelly has to say
about this special book. "This book, by Joe Hutto, stands alone at the peak of turkey
hunting literature. It is one of the very few books that I read straight through, finished it,
and at that instant turned around and read it straight through again. There is stuff in here
I never heard of and had no idea existed, principally because no one had the patience to
turn himself into a turkey, live the life for a year, and then rejoin the human race and
come back and tell us what he saw. There really ought to be a Federal law that causes
anyone who has not read this book to be denied a hunting license."
